In 2019, the Museum began cultivating a relationship with the Mormon Studies program at Claremont Graduate University. The University’s library now holds more than ninety linear feet of valuable historical documents the Museum has collected.
In 2022, the University hosted a reception commemorating the donation. This event included faculty and staff from Claremont Graduate University and the Claremont Colleges Library, as well as community members and the Gómez Family.
In July of 2022, the University hosted a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute for two dozen scholars from around the United States on “Mormonism and Mexico.” The founders of the Museum spoke at the Institute, introducing the scholars to the Fernando R. and Enriqueta Gómez Collection on Mormon Mexican History.
Honoring 25 years of Mormon Mexican history preservation with many more to come!
